I’m on the road these next weeks, back to the NC mountains to catch up with family, then on to Albuquerque to catch up with treasured friends who are like family.
I’d dearly love it, though, if you’d read my essay (an excerpt from my memoir) up today on HuffPost, “I Drove Cross-Country In Search Of Proof Of The Divine. I Found It In The Place I Least Expected.” And if you enjoy it, would you please share it with others you think might like it?
I hope you are someplace where you have the chance to see the total solar eclipse! If you do get to see it, please come back here with your comments and thoughts! I’ll be missing it this time around, so I’d love it if y’all would let me peek over your virtual shoulders.
The Treehouse will reconvene on Sunday, April 21st. Until then, please send me all the good vibes you’ve got! I’m in the querying trenches, looking for an agent in pursuit of getting CHASING LIGHT published. So far, I’ve queried nearly 70 agents over the last couple of years, with several hopeful nibbles and positive feedback, enough to keep me going. There have also been a lot of rejections and a lot of cavernous silences (no response means no). That’s pretty normal, but it sure helps to remember others are rooting for me.
Onward. Happy April!
Congrats! Love this and your message but especially love the heartwarming details you wove into that moment the sun seemed to disappear.
Beautiful story, Rebecca. Just shared it on Facebook💜
