Let’s pick up the thread where we left off, with the LORD God (Yahweh Elohim) forming an adam from adammah (an earth creature made from the earth) and then breathing (gasping) the breath of life into the clay form so that it becomes a living being (nephesh).

Next (Genesis 2:8 and following) Yahweh Elohim plants a garden (okay, so Yahweh Elohim is a gardener, so noted) in the place called Eden1 and puts ha-adam there and then “caused to grow” trees that were “pleasing to the sight and good for food.”2
