I love the way the Hebrew words lead to specific images -- mind blown on the idea of plural God / Elohim -- that fix a richer picture in my mind than I’ve ever considered. Thank you for that
I'm still learning how to navigate Substack. I take it that this comment/reply site is for those who have chosen to specifically reply to just one another, and the other comment/reply is the Treehouse group at large?
Hi, Minda. Any comments here are visible to paying subscribers - that's about 40 people right now. The Chat feature is basically the same thing but removed from this particular "location" under the post and available as a general chat thread. Does that make sense?
LOVE THIS! Especially the fact that the “El” (God) in the name "Elohim" is plural, meaning more than one God. This speaks to me of the truth of the three aspects of God--the "3 in one" of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This used to trip me up--like how could He be all three? Then someone pointed out that a person can be THREE PEOPLE--I am a daughter, a sister, and a wife and I relate to my parents (when they were alive) differently than how I related to my siblings and my husband. COOL STUFF Rebecca!

I like learning the Hebrew words. Certainly, the image of the spirit hovering in a comforting way creates imagery I hadn't considered before.

So essentially whichever place I choose to reply or comment is seen by the same people, right?
Yes, the same paid subscribers have access to the posts (along with comments) and the chats.
